Recovered Cocaine, Ecstasy Pills And $21,000 in Cash, Released For Free Thanks To NJ Bail Reform
Jersey City, New Jersey- Authorities say a man, his wife and her son ran a drug business out of their Guttenberg home after the 71st Street residence was raided and drugs and $21,000 in cash were recovered on May 5. Gabriel J. Gutierrez, 48, his wife, Gilma R. Gutierrez, 50, and her son, Jamie Roldan-Garcia, 33, were charged with drug possession, possession with intent to distribute, possession with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school and 500 feet of public property; and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a criminal complaint.
West New York police found 6.8 ounces of cocaine in the parents’ bedroom, as well as more than $2,000, four scales, a grinder, blender, sandwich bags, three spoons and a strainer, the complaint says.
A search of the son’s room resulted in seizure of 32 ecstasy pills, a bag containing ecstasy powder, more than $19,000 and a scale, the complaint says.
All three defendants appeared in Criminal Justice Reform Court in Jersey City on Monday via video link from Hudson County jail in Kearny.
They were released for free (on tax payers dollars) without any accountability thanks to NJ Bail Reform.
