Newton NJ, Man Was Arrested For Possession Of CDS, Released For Free Thanks To NJ Bail Reform

On 5/13/17 at 7:29p.m., Newton Police stopped a 2004 Chevrolet Malibu for speeding on Main Street. The vehicle was being operated by Paul Ford Jr., age 32, of Stillwater, N.J.
Subsequent investigation revealed that Ford had approximately 10 grams of marijuana, a multi colored glass smoking pipe and a marijuana grinder inside the center console of the vehicle. Ford was taken into custody, processed after being issued the following summonses:
Possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Speeding, Failure to change address, Possession of CDS in a motor vehicle.
Paul Ford was released for free (on tax payers dollars) without any accountability or supervision thanks to NJ Bail Reform.
