Arrested For Burglary Twice Within 24 Hours at Same Location, Released For Free Without Any Accountability Or Supervision Thanks To NJ Bail Reform
Amadou Ba, age 30, of Philadelphia was arrested and charged with 3rd degree, burglary, criminal mischief and theft, both disorderly persons offenses, according to law enforcement officials. Police responded to an activated burglar alarm on May 3, at a Route 27 business in the Princeton section of Franklin Township, according to a statement from Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson.
“Upon arrival of the initial officer, he observed a male, later identified as Ba standing inside the business,” Robertson said in a statement. “The officer ordered Ba to come outside so they could speak. Defendant Ba proceeded to hide out of view of the officer. When back-up officers arrived, they made entry into the business and found defendant Ba hiding under a truck.”
According to police, Ba was in possession of cash from the register as well as two sets of keys for vehicles that were being worked on in the business. He was taken into custody without incident, according to police.
Defendant Ba was arrested and charged with 3rd degree, burglary, criminal mischief and theft, both disorderly persons offenses, according to a police statement.
After his court appearance in the afternoon defendant Ba was released for free without any accountability or supervision thanks to NJ Bail Reform.
